After a total fiasco with the Shark Vertex vacuum, I swore off the brand entirely—I wanted absolutely nothing to do with Shark ever again. But at the time, my family was dropping a crazy amount of money every week taking trips to Dairy Queen. It was a fun outing, but it was getting expensive and unhealthy. I needed a way to control our ingredients, whip up healthier alternatives on demand, and still get that rich, creamy soft-serve texture. As much as I wanted to hate this machine out of spite, I fell in love with it. It’s saved us a fortune, given us complete control over what goes into our dessert, and every single recipe I’ve thrown at it has turned out fantastic. In fact, it blew my family away so much that my nephew explicitly asked for one as a wedding gift after trying a batch!
